How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone For Every Email App

How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone: Gmail App

If you’ve installed the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android and you want to add custom footings or signatures to all your emails, simply follow these steps:

iOS

  1. Firstly, open Gmail on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. You’ll see the Menu button: ≣. Tap this, and then tap Settings.

3. Next, you’ll see Compose and Reply. Tap this and go to Signature Settings.

4. Turn on “Mobile Signature”.

5. From here, you can either Add a new Email Signature, or you can Edit a pre-existing one.

6. It saves automatically, just press Back.

Android

  1. Open Gmail on your Android or Tablet.
  2. On the home inbox screen, tap the Menu button. Scroll to the bottom until you find Settings, and then tap it.

3. Choose which Google Account you want to add the signature to.

4. Tap the button called “Mobile Signature”.

5. Here you’ll see your saved Mobile Signature. If this is blank, create a new one.

6. To save your signature, tap OK.

Keep in mind that for each email account you use, you will need to change this setting for every account. The signature will be saved to the phone though, so you don’t need to type it out each time. 

How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone: Apple Mail

Adding an email signature on Apple iCloud Mail is also straightforward:

  1. Apple Mail comes pre-installed on your iPhone or iPad. Look for the Mail icon.
  2. Go to Settings and scroll until you see Signature (below Composing).

3. Tap the text field, then create or edit your signature.

4. Press save. 

5. You can also select Per Account if you want to set the signatures of multiple accounts.

How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone: Outlook

Adding an email signature for Outlook on Android is simpler than on iOS. Make sure you pay close attention if you’re using an iPad or iPhone!

Android

  1. You guessed it: Firstly, open the Outlook app!
  2. Tap Settings in the top right hand corner of the screen. This opens a drop box. 
  3. Press Signature

4. Write a signature in the email text box, and press Save for Account.

iOS

  1. Open the Outlook app. 
  2. In the top left corner of your inbox you should see your icon, the default being your initials on a coloured background. Press this to bring up the Menu

3. At the bottom of the menu, press Settings.

4. Select Signature near the bottom of the screen. 

5. If there is any text or a previous signature, simply delete it to create a new signature. Otherwise, the text box will be blank.

6. Compose your signature. If it displays a box around the text, don’t worry – the box disappears when the signature is part of an email. 

7. Simply close the settings window to automatically apply your signature to every email from this account.

How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone: Spark

Here’s everything you need to know to add an email signature to your Spark app on Android and iOS:

Android

  1. Open Spark email app.
  2. Tap the Menu button.
  3. Scroll down, then tap Signature.

4. On the toggle that says Use Email Signatures tap to switch it On.

5. Press the button that says Add Signature.

6. Compose your signature in the text box.

7. To save this signature to a saved email address, tick one or all of your accounts in the Default for Accounts section.

iOS

  1. Open the Spark Mail on your iPhone or iPad. 
  2. Next, open the Sidebar menu on the left hand side of the screen, and open Settings.

3. Tap the Signatures button and turn the Use Email Signatures switch On.

4. Then, tap the blue Add Signatures button, and compose your email in the blue text box.

5. You can use an HTML Email signature, switch to the HTML tab and paste your code into the text box.

6. Press the Set as Default button to bring up your saved email accounts.

7. Select which email accounts you’d like to use this email signature for by default.

8. Tap Save to set the signature.

How To Add An Email Signature On Your Mobile Phone: Shortwave (Migrating From Gmail)

iOS

  1. Open the Spark Mail on your iPhone or iPad. 
  2. Next, open the Sidebar menu on the left hand side of the screen, and open Settings.

3. Scroll until you find Saved Signatures.

4. Here you should see any Signatures from your previous Gmail accounts. If there aren’t any press Add Signature

5. Then, type or paste the signature into the text box and press Save.

6. When composing an email you can find the Signature Icon at the bottom right of the compose box, where you can select between including or removing your signature in an email.
